Where is your office?
Our office is at Level 2, 261 George Street, Sydney. We are on the corner of Jamison Street,
across the road from Australia Square.

Are you a member of the Financial Planning Association?
Yes. All of our financial planners are members of the Financial Planning Association, which means we are bound by a code of ethics and high professional standards, over and above that required by law. We are also members of the Association of Financial Advisers.
Are you Certified Financial Planners?
Yes. Jeff and Marshall are both Certified Financial Planners (CFP).
The CFP Mark is awarded to individuals who have gone beyond the competency, ethics and professional practice standards required of other FPA practitioner members. Each year CFP professionals must renew their right to use the CFP Mark.
Who owns your business?
We do. Evalesco Financial Services is a boutique financial planning company, privately owned by Directors, Jeff Thurecht and Marshall Brentnall.
Neither Evalesco nor PIS are owned by or aligned with any major financial institutions or product providers. This allows us the freedom to recommend the solution and/or provider that best meets your needs.
How do you charge for your services?
Your first appointment is at no cost to you and is obligation free. At the end of that meeting when we know more about the services you might require, we will provide you with a guide to our fees.
Evalesco uses the industry's preferred 'fee for service' model which includes three separate fees:
Plan Preparation Fee
This fee covers the cost of:
Implementation Fee
Your SoA will explain our Implementation Fee which covers the implementation of your financial strategy. We will let you know all the costs and sources of potential income arising from your financial plan, including if payments are received from the providers of any products recommended to you.
Ongoing Service Fee
This fee is paid each year (but may be collected monthly, quarterly or annually) and covers ongoing maintenance of the plan. Included in this is an annual review (as a minimum), as well as regular communication (newsletters etc), invitations to events that we believe may interest or help you, and portfolio specific information. We will also act as your financial 'coach' helping you understand the strategy we have created, encouraging you to be accountable for your spending and saving, and keeping you focused on your goals.
How will I know exactly what services you will provide?
Our service wheel shows you all of the services that we are licensed to provide.
Just because we can offer them all, doesn't mean you need them all.
Once we have met and discussed your financial position and objectives, we will prepare your Statement of Advice (SoA). This is your personal financial plan which will explain each of the services you require to fulfil our strategies and recommendations.
How long will my first appointment take?
This appointment should take around an hour. It is an opportunity for you to find out more about
Evalesco Financial Services and for us to find out more about you and your financial goals.

The more information you can give us, the more effective our advice will be.
